Drifted the middle section of the river today with my buddy George. We started of with a bang we thought. The first to drifts we had two grab’s and landed one 1/2 pounder about 15″. Fished Sailors Bar to Sunrise this AM by myself. I had no takers today but I did see a Fly fisherman hooked up with a salmon and almost spooled, so I went over and picked him up. Fished the upper section on the American River today with a couple buddies. Because of all the fisherman out today we headed down river about a mile before we started fishing. Dropped out some plugs and within about five minuets we hooked a real nice fish. The fish cartwheeled a few times taking us down river about 200 yards before we netted it.
