Fished with Steve and his son Andrew last evening and we had a gas. Andrew caught 5 and Steve landed 1, we also had 4 or 5 more hookups. The bite is definitely from 8pm to 9pm with 8 to 12 fish an evening with the runs tapering off. Still a few shad around though, so if you still want a shad fix give me a call and lets go fishin.

Fished last evening with Tony and Mark from San Jose. It was there first time shad fishing and we caught fish. We hooked over 25 fish and landed 14. The fish are still here so if you still need a shad fix give me a call and lets go fishin.

BEST FATHER’S DAY EVER ! !
I got to fish with my daughter Taylor Renee last evening, which by the way just graduated from high school and is off to U. C. San Diego in the fall. Man am I PROUD of her. Back to fishing, it was very windy and the bite was tough but again just at dark the bite turned on. She landed 8 and hooked over 20. My buddy Paul brought his boat up and he fished his father for father’s day and the also had around the same results. As soon as the river stabilizes from the rise the fish should go on the chomp!

Fished with Gene this evening who was on his 4th shad trip of the season, this time he brought his grandson Craig. Craig landed 8 fish to Gene’s 2 fish, but that is what Gene wanted to see. His grandson catch fish. The wind was blowing hard this evening and it was hard to cast, and that made the fishing just plain tough. The flows are up to 2500 cfs from 1750 cfs and is going up to 3000 cfs tomorrow. When it stabilizes in a few days the shad bite should be good again. By the way Craig caught what I think is the big fish of the season (on my boat) 41/2 almost 5 lbs!

Fished father and son, George and James from Davis this evening. We fished the Grist Mill area and we landed 9 and hooked 15 or 20. The bite was off a little tonight but it did turn on @ 8:45 till dark and that is when we caught all of our fish, If you still want a shad fix now is the time!

Fished with Gene and his grandson Adam last evening. The weather is playing havic on the fishing, we had to pull out early because of last nights lighting storm. We did manage 4 fish though before we left.

Fished with Perry and his grandson Dillon last evening and we had a great time. We landed over 20 fish and again hooked way more. Not bad for having to teach Dillon to cast his own rod. I had a blast with these two gentleman and I hope to fish with them again soon. The bite is still just before dark.
