Fished with Mark and Bob from San Jose this evening and it was windy probably gusting to15 mph. Mark landed 2 on the fly rod and 4 on spinning gear. Bob switched right away and land 6 or 7 on spinning gear and caught the biggest shad ever landed in my boat. It was 22″ long and 6 lb’s if an ounce. See the photo. I am telling you these are the hardest fighting shad I have ever caught and they are running in the 3 lb range constantly. I have only caught 2 males so far this season and the rest are big females.
